Oikos Group GmbH (“Oikos”) today announced that the sale of the company to Goldman Sachs Asset Management (“Goldman Sachs”) from Equistone has been completed. All necessary closing conditions, including regulatory and anti-trust, have been satisfied.
Oikos is one of the leading European providers of direct to consumer prefabricated modular family homes, creating living spaces that are future-oriented and sustainable. Oikos develops flexible housing units with an emphasis on social purpose, quality design and the highest possible environmental standards. Oikos predominantly uses wood as a construction material, offering excellent insulation, lower heating costs and carbon capture during its growing phase.
Mike Ebeling, Managing Director at Goldman Sachs, said: “The flexible and sustainable approach of Oikos has made it a leader in its sector and we are excited to invest to support the company’s continued growth. Oikos is leading the way in a new approach to housing and its growth can pave the way for a more sustainable future for the industry.
